Frequently updated reliable data about linear and patchy woody elements in Europe is crucial to many key Copernicus users and stakeholders. Extension of the CLMS HRL Small Woody Features to Small Landscape Features is foreseen for 2021 using VHR optical coverage. These Small Landscape Features (SLF) will potentially include Small Woody Features, but also stone walls, ditches, ponds and small streams, field margins and tracks. The aim of this candidate is to propose improvements (accuracy and efficiency) to SLF using novel EO data.
